wxBasic on Linux Mint 20.3

Download the "previous version" 2.8, not the new version 3
wxbasic-2.8.12.43.deb Version 2.8.12.43 (Ubuntu 64-bit)
from:

https://www.wxbasic.net/download

Install with:
sudo dpkg -i wxbasic-2.8.12.43.deb 

I tried version 3, but ended up loading a dozend of dependencies manually based on the errors I got from Debian 11, just to end up with a naming conflict.

Like I had:
libwxgtk-webview3.0-gtk3-0v5
but wxbasic needed: 
libwxgtk-webview3.0-0v5

I gave up at that point.

Note that you find the examples in /usr/share/wxbasic
